Each tour can accept six participants.

  ITINERARY

Day 1. 

Airport pickup (if required) and settle into your accommodation, meet your tour companions and some of the local artists over dinner, or retire ready for an early start next day.

Day 2 and 3. 

En Plein Air painting in and around The Meander Valley: river, lakes, mountains, green rolling hills, picturesque farms and huge skies.

Day 4. 

Visit the studio and meet internationally renowned painter Tony Smibert with painting/sketching of the Great Western Tiers from his glorious garden.

Day 5. 

Painting in and around the amazing beach at Hawley, including sheoak and eucalypt forests, and sandy beaches with wonderful lichen-covered boulders and clear aqua waters.

Day 6. 

Revisit the township of Deloraine on route to the final night’s luxurious accommodation which is closer to Launceston airport.

Day 7. 

Airport drop offs after an optional visit to Tom Roberts's final resting place and John Glover’s home near the quaint and beautiful village of Evandale. 

The March tour includes viewing the prestigious Glover Prize exhibition in Evandale.
